No, not registered in Florida and Not registered with the Texas Department of Insurance. Any previous claims of approval was due to miscommunication with the manufacturing plant due to language barrier. The manufacturer has their own claim of having the approval codes, but The Roof Store has not directly registered with these agencies. The manufacturer received their approval with CJI Group LTD (FL28795-R1). Do not use The Roof Store Synthetic Roof Underlayment in any state where it is not allowed to be installed.

Measuring the thickness of synthetic roofing underlayment in MILS is not very accurate because it requires a digital micrometer. A digital micrometer can assess the thickness of various types of plastic sheeting. What gets interesting is if the plastic sheeting has string reinforcement known as scrim/ scrim or string. If the plastic is measured over the scrim, them it will be thicker than if it is measured where there isn't any scrim. The scrim gives the plastic much more strength when it comes to tear and puncture resistance.

Fasten with The Roof Store Cap Nails (Ring Shank) in locations specified (and marked) on The Roof Store Synthetic Underlayment. Nails without plastic caps or staples can damage The Roof Store Synthetic Underlayment and could cause leaking. Please fasten the plastic cap nails properly by hammering them flush and perpendicular (not at an angle) to the roof decking surface that is in great condition. When re-roofing, repair decking before installing The Roof Store Synthetic Underlayment. Broken, cracked, over-driven cap nails should never be installed or left installed. Place fasteners 6” on-center on side lap area and stagger two rows of 12” on-center.
The Roof Store Synthetic Underlayment covers the decking and it is designed to be covered with mechanically attached asphalt shingle roofing systems and should not be visible when roof has been installed properly.
Side and End Laps are areas where wind and wind driven rain can penetrate the roof system. Install The Roof Store Synthetic Underlayment with 6 inch side lap and 12 inch end lap.
