1. Apply shingles up to lower edge of electrical mast.
2. Determine pipe size, cut or tear flashing opening to appropriate size for pipe.
3. Wrap flashing around electrical mast.
4. For extra protection, apply exterior-grade silicone caulk to groove in seam.
5. Starting at the bottom of the flashing and working up toward the mast, seal seam by crimping stainless steel clamps (supplied).
6. Secure top edge of base with roofing nails. If installer prefers to nail or staple any of the Electrical Mast Roof Flashing that is not covered by the next row of shingles, exterior-grade silicone caulk must be applied to the exposed nail/staple.
7. Apply exterior-grade silicone caulk around the top of the electrical mast flashing where it meets the pipe, and along the joiner seam.
8. Finish applying shingles over sides and upper portion of electrical flashing base.
NOTE:
When properly installed, the lower approximately one-third of the base will be on top of shingles while the upper approximately two-thirds of the base will be covered by shingles as shown.
Don't use petroleum based mastics.
