Cap fasteners are a recommended best practice installation by housewrap and roofing underlayment manufacturers like GAF, DuPont, Tyvek, Grace and Titanium. Caps help seal out moisture that can penetrate sidewall and roofing underlayments. Caps provide better fastening power than a nail or staple alone, and that means reduced blow-offs! It also means there is less waste than with traditional methods.
